To the Command Station!

My boyfriend and I hiked the Nighthawk Trail yesterday and made it to the top of Black Mountain where the antennas are located. I've always look up to this area and knew it was where home is. It's where I grew up for the most part of my life. I can be anywhere around PQ and know that that way is where home is. It doesn't matter if i'm in La Jolla or Poway I just look for the mountain. It was a great day for a hike yesterday. It wasn't too hot yet and it was just enough shade to not make you freeze. I was also sweating so it felt good. It's a bit rocky but it was something different to experience. I'm going to need hiking shoes if I do this more often. There were also some areas where I thought I was going to slip and fall right on my bottom but I would balance myself or David would be there. There was a moment when the sun was setting and he told me to look at the sunset. When I looked over I must've tripped on a rock and we both started laughing so hard then he told me not to look anymore because he knows that I'm such a klutz. It was hilarious.

I've lived in PQ since 1991 and it was the first time I ever went there. It's almost like I crossed out an item off my list of accomplishments even if it is a minor one. I feel great and I'm happy I did it with someone who enjoys it as much as I did. Thank you David! We are constantly making plans that it's almost hard to keep up with but I know we will get to it sooner or later.

  1. I had such a good time on this hike babe. We should do it again. Maybe take a different trail next time. I don't think I'll be telling you too look anywhere when we're on a rocky hike. I don't want you to trip again! haha! That was like the highlight of the whole hike. You forgot to add how you cheat when you try to race me. When i'm about to pass you up, you put out your arm and hold me back, then start sprinting. haha! j/k. But you did do that though. Some seems like they're always trying to compete with me.

But I have to say that i've never ran/hiked my girlfriend before, let alone enjoy it as much as I did with you. Let's do it again babe!
